So I have this plan to start a new race vehicle design team subdivision of the all encompassing THRUST corporation concept. The subdivision will be called "speed limit c" and follow a motto of we don't believe in limitations, or something along those lines if you don't understand the speed limit c thing then you should probably just forget about being part of the team.
anyways.

a little note on layout and aesthetics
Do you guys find this background better for reading? Or would you prefer black text on a white/light background? We could always switch to Wordpress, too.

What I have learned
What I have learned in a very informative Product Idea concept selcetion class is that forming a company as a protective barrier between lawyers and yourself is very important. I learned this from a patent lawyer that came into class to discuss the legalities of getting a patent, making me realize what a pain patents truly are. (I also learned how slimy most engineering firms are, but I guess that's to be expected) So we need to form an official patent so that when.... I mean if someone sues us for something stupid (like say perhaps someone in our corporation steals a picture off the internet and puts it on our blog) in any case its occurring to me that getting a patent wouldn't even make much sense for use because we wouldn't be able to afford the lawyers to defend an infringement. Oh well, I guess we will just have to be so good at doing awesome stuff that no one will be able to keep pace, and then once we have the money for defense we can actually start taking out patents.
In anycase I also learned that weapons developments also cannot be patented apparently if you develope a weapon of military grade it automatically becomes the intellectual property of the DOD. So it looks like we wont be getting rich off developing the wrist mounted hand cannon, or the composite material lightweight gun barrel. Damn.
Also, I'm disappointing to announce that my student "smart backpack" idea was just released by a new company called KNO (they are obviously good engineers they cant even spell "know" right) like dec 10 or something check it out though the thing is pretty damn cool.http://www.kno.com/the-kno what really sucks is I found this while researching ways to convert my old tablet to do the same thing.
Updates on the tablet mutilation project:
I have researched and found that I have approximately a 60% chance of messing up my laptop screen with the coming operation if I knew what I was doing. Fortunately I have no idea what I'm doing so I figure with beginners luck that gives me a 70% chance of success which is C by the way meaning I move forward. I have acquired enough shielded cable to extend the screen an additional 3 to four feet from the base. The remaining question is how do I get a second tablet monitor to work dual screen with my Primary monitor and accept pen input transition smoothly between the two. If only I knew what I was getting myself into.... but once again, fortunately I do not. Full steam ahead and into the unknown.
Project update on fiberglass sleeping pad:
The project has undergone some big changes primarily it is no longer a sleeping pad instead this is going to be an easy to set up and packable rope bridge to be used by real adventures that need to set up a foot bridge over an obstruction quickly and easily using hand tools and carrying in all the supplies. (Please let me know if this is as stupid as it may sound)
Suspension project update:
I may have just thought of a brilliant if not somewhat insane method of removing the shocks from a rear semi trailing arm set up allowing it to have camber change stability of a full trailing arm geometry, the no-slip shaft advantage of a semi trailing set up and the simplictiy of leaf springs yes all bow to me, the mighty god of good ideas (please no comments from anyone who has ever met me). I would go into details but this is so big I don't want to share it online I just might get rich off this idea. If only I had a corporation of intelligent friends with non-disclosure agreements to share my ideas with get help me out on and reap the benefits with. Oh well I guess I'll run solo just like my trip to Germany turned out.
If you don't care to share in my random thoughts then I'm really starting to wonder why I know you, and if I don't know you, that might explain it.
Also being an engineer I'm to lazy to check this over for mistakes so deal with it I'm gunna go make me some dinner.
